The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) have launched a photo competition on Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change.

The contest seeks to inspire the creation and dissemination of images that explore the impact of climate change on the lives of Caribbean people. Applicants are encouraged to express their creativity through photography to portray stories related to the impacts of climate change on migration and displacement, the impacts of climate change on livelihoods, and how individuals and communities and individuals are responding to these challenges and building resilience.

There will also be free photo training by award-winning Saint Lucian photographer Kirk Elliott, who is one of the competition judges.

The general public is invited to register by email through josette.edward@oecs.int for the photography training coordinated by Kirk Elliot on July 15, 2020, and to participate in the competition by submitting their photos to casandra.james@giz.de before August 22, 2020.

Visit the OECS website for more information about the contest and guidelines on how to enter.
