The Antigua Observer reports on a three-day workshop that will allow delegates to collectively monitor ongoing African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) fish projects in the Caribbean gets which will get underway in Suriname on Wednesday 31 October,2012.
The Third Regional ACP Fish Programme Monitoring Workshop and Training in Monitoring and Evaluation will also provide training in monitoring and evaluation systems as prescribed by the European Commission; and expose participants to selected fishery realities in Suriname.
Suriname is directly involved in eight regional projects and specifically in a project to formulate fisheries management plans for Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago which is expected to be implemented in the following months.
