The University of the Virgin islands has a vacancy within the Center for Marine and Environmental Studies (CMES).
The successful candidate will provide technical support for a new environmental data institute. The candidate will be responsible for processing and enacting QA/QC on data collected by researchers at CMES and collected from external sources or collaborators; updating and entering proper metadata in consultation with data providers and according to established protocols; managing and storing databases; and providing synthesized data to internal and external users. The candidate will also coordinate data, software and server access to users; provide usage and data reports for research, planning and administrative purposes; and perform other duties as determined by the director.
