Clean Up Barbados 2011
The Future Centre Trust in Barbados is organising the third annual Clean Up Barbados event. Clean Up Barbados 2011 takes place on Saturday, September 17:

Since 1997, The Future Centre and its supporters have been working hard to promote environmental education within the community. 2009 saw the first Clean Up Barbados event which was very successful. In 2010, the numbers of participants grew and in 2011 we invite YOUR participation to help spread the word, actively participate and feel part of something worthwhile.

The 2011 Clean Up Barbados Day event will take place on Saturday, September 17th 2011. Many of our beaches, gullies and open spaces need attention. The Clean Up Barbados Day event is linked by membership to the global Clean Up the World weekend held on the third weekend of September every year. The event gives groups the opportunity to get out and get involved by cleaning up an area needing attention and that the community shares a passion in maintaining.

Groups are encouraged to gather a team together, register, choose an area to clean up and report back on what they collected. Many teams are invited across the country to make it a truly community clean up day.

Find out more, and get details on how you can get involved at cleanupbarbados.org and the Future Centre website.
