Simpson Bay Lagoon, St. MaartenThe St. Maarten Chronicles blog informs that Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) has launched their environmental education programme for the latter half of the current school year.

[S]ubjects include the all new Marine Debris and its effect on our Coastal Environment and the re-packaged St. Maarten’s Wetlands —a well received presentation in 2009.

EPIC is a non-profit environmental organisation based in St. Maarten and Florida, USA. Many of their programmes and projects are concerned with conservation of birds, wetlands, mangroves and coastal habitats.
